Keeping Track of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Acquisitions
As a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, YoBiz is very interested in merger and acquisition activity happening in the space. Clearly, SaaS and Cloud computing technologies are heating up and incumbent providers are snapping up companies lest they be left behind. And they should! The emergence of low-cost, SaaS offerings (such as those offered by YoBiz) threatens the long-term viability of expensive, complex, and cumbersome software that customers need to purchase on a licensed basis, install on their own costly infrastructure, and manage at their own expense. SaaS provides a credible alternative, especially to small and medium-sized businesses who don’t have sizable IT budgets or departments to manage that software.
Anyways, below is our latest spreadsheet tracking the SaaS acquisitions that have been happening over the past few years. Help us keep this up to date! Do you know of an acquisition in the SaaS space not on the list? Have we made a mistake or do you have info to complete or correct what’s listed below? Let us know!
