The 2012 Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition Is Almost Here!
If you have an eCommerce website where you sell product online, than you should be looking forward to the IRCE 2012 coming up! In only four more days, McCormick Place in Chicago will host the largest display of eCommerce technologies in the Country. From June 5th through the 8th over 570 exhibits will showcase their technologies. The conference will also host influential guest speakers, keynote speakers, and featured speakers. With 175 speakers in total and 100 separate sessions, you can learn everything you need to know about this web-based century including operating strategies, marketing, merchandising, and more.
This year, the general theme of the conference is how to connect with the 21st century consumer. With social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Foursquare and more, everything a consumer could ever want or need is always located right in front of them. Jack Love will focus on how to connect with these consumers who are addicted to social media. Other topics being covered include: how to use and adjust to the social marketing revolution and e-marketing, the shift into the digital age with mobile devices and webTV, using efficient eCommerce technologies, competing against larger firms, online profitability, and making web designs and strategies that encourage more purchases and keep those purchasers coming back for more.
Fareed Zakaria will be the special guest speaker. Zakaria has spent his time as the host of CNN’s global public square: Fareed Zakaria GPS, as the editor of Time Magazine, and in 2010 he was named as one of the top 100 global thinkers by Foreign Policy. The keynote speakers include William Lynch, the CEO of Barnes and Nobles, and Alexis Maybank, the founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Gilt Groupe. The featured speakers are Joel Anderson, President and CEO of Walmart.com, U.S., and Sam Yagan, CEP of OKCupid. With over 175 speakers, a wide range of topics will be discussed, and your topic of interest is almost guaranteed to be covered!
With over 250,000 square feet, the sold out exhibit hall is expected to hold about 8,000 people.
