Bizelo Customer Spotlight: SublimeStitching.com
Today we are featuring Jenny Hart and her awesome embroidery store Sublimestitching.com.
Check out our interview with Jenny to learn more about Sublimestitching:
Tell us about your online shop. What do you sell and what makes you unique?
Jenny: In 2001 Sublime Stitching introduced hand embroidery patterns that go beyond bunnies and teddy bears. Sublime Stitching is the original, independent, alternative embroidery company that got a new generation stitching outside the hoop. Sublime Stitching also offers starter embroidery kits and instructions that make sense for a generation that didn’t grow up sewing. We offer encouragement for newbies, inspiration for continuing stitchers and basically no excuse to not give embroidery a try.
What items are the most popular with your buyers?
Jenny: My embroidery patterns, my books and my ready-to-be-stitched custom textiles.
Which online ecommerce platforms are you currently on? Are you planning on selling in other places? If you do, Do you have any other online stores? How do they relate to your current shop?
Jenny: Shopify and etsy -but my etsy store is slumbering at the moment. My website is my core business.
What would you like to improve about your ecommerce experience?
Jenny: The most important thing to me is that people can find what they’re looking for quickly and easily, and buy it without any hassle.
What do you spend the most time doing that you’d like to eliminate or reduce?
Jenny: I think every small business owner / designer spends most of their time dealing with operations, and that’s true for me. It’s definitely what I would like to reduce so I can focus on what I’m best at: designing, writing and moving the vision of the company forward. When you’re a small startup, unless you have a lot of funding, you can afford to hire professionals to do the operations for you, so you have to do them yourself. It’s very hard to juggle.
Besides Bizelo, What are some tools that you use?
Jenny: Back In Stock is great. Customers often write in wanting to know when an item will be returned to inventory and we can’t possibly email them all back to let them know. It’s an amazing app.
What other pieces of advice or feedback would you have for other online retailers currently on the Bizelo platform?
Jenny: If your website doesn’t say it’s in stock, you can’t sell it.
How can potential customers find you?
