How do I setup and sync with my Magento store?
Step 1) Install the Bizelo IPS Connector through Magento Connect
On the Magento Connect landing page for our Bizelo IPS Connector, you’ll see a button labeled “Get Extension Key”. Click on this and select your Magento Connect version. If you plan to follow the instructions in this blog post, we found that version 1.0 worked well. Check the box to agree to the terms of the license and you’ll be presented the extension key. It should look something like “magento-community/Bizelo_IPS_Connector”. Copy this text – you’ll need it next.
Launch your Magento Admin panel (usually at http://yourmagentosite/admin), and select the Magento Connect Manager at System -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager. Paste the Extension Key that you copied above into the text box labeled . Click install and if everything is configured properly, your Bizelo IPS Connector will be installed in your Magento system!
Step 2) Add Bizelo authorization to your Magento Web Services API
Next, go to the Web Services configuration menu in your Magento Admin Panel at System -> Web Services -> Users. On this page, create a new user account and password that will be used by the Bizelo IPS system to communicate with your Magento installation. We suggest a username of “bizelo” and a password of your choosing, although any username and password will do. Write down or otherwise note this information – you’ll need this in Step 3 below.
After you configure the Web Services User, you need to give this user permission to access the Magento data. You can do this at System -> Web Services -> Roles. Add a new role, calling it whatever you like (“bizelo” is fine), and in the Role Resources configuration tab, select “All” from the Resource Access pull-down selector. Save this role, and you’ll be ready for Step 3.
You might need to clear your Magento Caches and log out and back into your Magento Admin system at this point.
Step 3) Create / Edit a Magento Store in Bizelo and Enter your Web Services Credentials API
Log in to your Bizelo eRetail IPS account at http://inv.ere.bizelo.com, and go to Settings -> Stores. On this page, you can either create a new store (with allocated or shared inventory pools) or edit an existing store. If you only plan to have one store, then you should edit a store, such as the Default Store if you haven’t changed the store name.
Move your mouse over the store name and you should see a menu appear for that store. Click on the Settings link that appears for that store. It should pop up a configuration screen. Select the “Enable e-Commerce integration” option for the store. The configuration screen should then expand, presenting options for e-Commerce integration. Select the Magento radio option. Enter your Magento Store URL, change the default port and path to the XMLRPC API if you need to, and enter the Web Services Username and Password that you created in Step 2 above. Finally, before you click save, copy or write down the API Key that is displayed on this screen – you’ll need it for Step #5.
Step 4) Sync with the Magento Store
After you click Save, you should be taken back to the Store Settings screen and if you wait a few seconds, you should get a pop-up screen that prompts you to sync your Bizelo Inventory with your Magento store. If you configured your username and password correctly, you should see your products. Click sync and in a few more seconds, all your products should be imported. If you get a failure screen, check your URL, username, password, and the defaults.
Step 5) Enter the API Key in the Magento Bizelo IPS Config Screen
You’re almost done! Now, you need to go back to your Magento Admin Panel and enter your Bizelo username and API Key so that Magento can tell Bizelo whenever it gets new orders or makes changes to its inventory. You can find this configuration screen as a new Admin tab in System -> Configuration. Look in the left navigation menu. You should see a new configuration option called “Bizelo IPS Config Options”. Select this, and you’ll get an admin menu prompting you to enter your Bizelo username and the API Key that you hopefully saved from Step #3 above.
That’s it! You’re Ready to Go! Bizelo and your Magento Store are now in Sync!
