How do you protect the data customers provide you? What are your security practices?
Bizelo takes information security very seriously. We have in place reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized use. For example, when you submit sensitive information, such as credit card or payment information, via our websites, the information is protected both online and offline. Generally, we use third-party payment providers that have passed required PCI-DSS compliance rules to handle any online payments. When our registration or subscription form asks for a credit card number or other sensitive information, that information is encrypted and protected in transit with industry-standard encryption software.
In addition, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) in as many places as possible to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing your information in transit. SSL is a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. The protocol allows Bizelo to securely communicate in a way that is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, or communications forgery. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions. In Bizelo’s case, SSL keeps your client communications absolutely secure (Bizelo’s normal password protection keeps your information private, but SSL keeps it private and secure). Everyone with a Bizelo account has access to the SSL-enabled Bizelo account capabilities.
