Is my data backed up in case of an emergency?
Data is backed up multiple times a day and written to multiple disks regularly. We can perform full backup recovery in the event of a system-wide emergency. Backups are stored offline and those offline backups are in turn backed up to other systems. We retain multiple days worth of backups, so we can recover data that has been accidentally deleted or corrupted over numerous days.
Despite all these backups and precautions, things can still go wrong. If you’ve made changes between the times we’ve made backups, data might get lost or corrupted. As such, we cannot guarantee that data will not be lost between times we’ve backed up our systems, or that we will have access to data that has been deleted, modified, or corrupted numerous days in the past.
