How to set up SKUs with Vend
Every item needs a SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) in our system and it is important that you know how to set up SKUs with Vend. If you have not put in a SKU in your ecommerce system, we will create one using the listing or item ID that comes from that system. We keep inventory quantities in sync as long as the SKUs match on those systems. In order to sync Vend inventory with Bizelo, make sure your Bizelo SKU matches Vend’s “Stock Keeping Unit”. In the example below, we are using “tshirt-white”. We’ve highlighted both the product handle and stock keeping unit to clear any type of confusion. At first glance, you might think that the product handle is the SKU because it “a unique identiifer for this product.” If you scroll down to the Inventory tab you’ll notice similar wording next to the “Stock Keeping Unit” field. This is the CORRECT field, and what Bizelo uses to identify SKUs and Variants within Vend. If look closely, you’ll notice the difference in wording next to the Stock Keeping Unit field (The Unique Stock Identifier or barcode).
